HOW TO ACTIVATE SMART MONEY DORMANT ACCOUNT

DORMANT ACCOUNT is an inactive account with no transaction for specific time. In smart money account, there dormancy period is 120 days of no inbound or outbound transaction account history. I have may smart money account since 2012  seldom use it. So when i try verifying my Paypal using smart money that my transaction cannot be process. I call the smart money representative they instructed me to the steps below. 

STEPS  

1. Make a letter request to activate your dormant account. The letter must contain the following 
1. Name
2. Smartmoney Account Number
3. Smart Money and Validity period
1. To give you a concise format refer to the sample below: 
2. Submit it with the nearest Smart Money wireless center.

TIPS & WARNING

• Upon submitting the letter, make sure to have a receiving copy with you
• Don't step out of the smart money without asking for "Service Request No". This is the proof that the customer representative was already submitted your document to the main branch. 
• The most embarrassing thing that happen to me was when, i submitted my document Last December 04, 2013, after 2 weeks my account is still dormant.  I go back to the wireless center to ask what happen but they were just telling me "dapat 1 day yung process nito"..The processing time should be 1 day only.  
• You should have atleast P 200.00 pesos balance on you account.
• Present at least 2 valid ID's and bring with you, your SmartmoneyCard

How much would be the charger for the lifting of SmartMoney dormant account.?

 The smart money representative would say that it will charge you P 50.00 but in my experience no charge was deducted on my account. 

Can i send the Letter through email?

No, they won't allow that transaction

Can, i send the letter through Fax?

Yes, they allow it.

 But i I suggest you try  to transact directly with the smart money center.

HOW TO VERIFY YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT USING SMART MONEY

Being a new virtual Assistant. I have to be familiarized my self with Paypal. This is the most common payment method of a work at home Job. My first ever payment for my first part time job as virtual assistant was thru Paypal.  To be available for your account to be verified you have to have a credit card, debit card or bank account that recognized Paypal. You can still used and transact with paypal even you haven't verify your account yet the consequence are you won't be available to withdraw your money from Paypal. 

For my first try, i'm receiving transaction failed message on my cellphone. I don't know why?. So i asked the smart money customer hotline. Then i found out that When your account is inactive for almost 6 months your account will be dormant and need for request for activation.  I will post how to did i activate my smart money dormant account.

" Verification lets us know that you're the legitimate owner of the credit card or bank account, helping maintain PayPal's secure network. As a result, we're able to remove the sending and withdrawal limits which we initially placed on your PayPal account before you passed this security check."

STEPS TO VERIFY YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT USING SMART MONEY DEBIT CARD:

1. Go to https://www.paypal.com/ph
2.  Log-in to your Paypal account 
   
3.  Point your mouse to Profile Menu  
4. Choose Add/Edit Credit Card
5. Click Add a Card
6. >>> Add your correct Smart Money Card Details to your Paypal account <<<  Fill in the details.  
   
7. Before clicking CONFIRM please Unlock your SMART MONEY Card first.

• How to  UNLOCK your SMART MONEY Card (using your mobile phone)

1.  Send INTERNET to 343 through text message (to enable Internet Purchases)
2.  Go to SMART Menu
3. Choose SMART Money
4. Choose Internet Txn
5. Then choose Unlock
6. Then choose the name of the card you want to unlock
7. then enter your W-PIN, a message will appear confirming your request
8. Press YES ($1.00 charge to your Smart Money)

Note: You will receive a text message that your card is now ready/unlocked

for online purchases. Make sure that your Smart Money Card

is loaded with at least Php 200.00 for the Paypal Verfication Charge.

Also make sure that you have atleast Php 15.00 airtime Cellphone Load

for the Php 2.50 charge per send.

• After UNLOCKING your Card.. Immediately click on the Add Card button at Paypal because SMART MONEY card Locks Automatically

    9.  Then a Paypal Code will be sent to you via Text Message. Message includes the 4 digit Paypal Code (EXPUSE)

     10.  Then Enter the Paypal Code to your Paypal Account.

     11 . On your profile click the "Get verify Button".  

     12. You will then automatically directed to the verification page. 

            13. Enter the verification code you received via text message. 

            14.  Then a message will prompt stating that you already completed the verification process.

Then your done verifying your Paypal account.
